Maths 21.5

Today we are moving onto area of triangles and parallelograms.

To find the area of a triangle you need to do times the base by the height and then divide your answer by 2.

 For this example I need to work out

7 x 9 = 63

half of 63 = 31.5cm²





To find the area of a parallelogram you need to times the base by the vertical height.

For this example I need to work out

8 x 6 = 48cm²






Now see if you can work out the area of the following shapes:
