Rewrite the sentences below adding in the correct spelling of the word from the brackets.


Will was concerned that the baby dying was his fault. He had it on his (conscience/conscious).

At first, Will was (disinterested/uninterested) in venturing outside as his legs were so weak and he was just so tired.

Will felt (regrettable/regretful) about the baby because he could not save her.

 Add in suitable adverbs to make the sentences more interesting.


Zach scrambled ______________ up the ladders; he was excited to see Will after so long.

Tom made Will’s breakfast __________; he was so pleased that Will was feeling better.

The nightmares were relentless; Will fought each one _______________.

Zach chatted ________________to Will; he was happy to see his friend feeling better.
