Week One - Maths challenges

Your first maths challenge is to complete the arithmetic test which is in your pack. Try to complete 10 minutes per day until all the questions are answered.

In addition to your arithmetic, here are your maths challenges for this week which you should complete in the maths book you were provided with.

1. Write seven thousand and eight as a numeral.
2. Divide 80 by 4.
3. Multiply 4 by 7.
4. What is 9 out of 36 as a fraction? Write it in its simplest form.
5. How many grams is 8.5kg?

7. What is 3 times 3 added to 5 times 5?
8. Subtract 2.4 from 3.6.
9. Calculate the perimeter of an octagon with sides 7cm.
